Any Questions?

What do you mean by Capture the Fun?

My style is to photograph your wedding as a photojournalist covering a story. This means getting to the action and looking for the interesting angles, the funny moments and the intimate moments. It means that you will end up with a real time record of the day with memories that will keep you smiling for years to come.

Have you been to a wedding where the photographer takes over the day?

Yes, and that’s not my style. I won’t stop and ask you to redo things. I won’t take over the proceedings of the day and I won’t spend hours on formal group shots while your guests die of thirst and boredom.

When do you start taking pictures?

I usually start with the bride’s final preparations wherever she is getting ready, move on to the church or venue and continue shooting until you sit down for the wedding breakfast at the reception. This is not set in stone. If you have any preferences or special requests I will work with you. I can stay right through to the end of the party as extended coverage if you wish.

What about group shots?

I always think it’s worth trying to get a group shot of the whole party from a good vantage point if possible.
This can take a bit of organising but it’s worth the effort. I suggest that you try to keep other group shots down to a minimum to keep the party flowing smoothly. Think in advance about a short list of close family and let the best man and bridesmaids get involved so that people can be found with a minimum of fuss.
I will ask you to leave the party for a short time so that I can get some relaxed pictures of you away from the crowd.

How many pictures will you take?

There is no limit on the number of pictures taken, typically several hundred. You can be sure that the day will be covered very thoroughly. After a basic edit to remove unflattering images you get to see all shots on a DVD slideshow.

Will we see you before the wedding?

Yes. I always recommend that we look at the venues together before the big day. This will give us both an opportunity to discuss the best places to find pictures so that we are both clear about the way that the day will progress.

How will we view the photographs?

I show proofs of the photographs as a DVD slideshow, set to music of your choice, that will play on your home DVD player. I also include a CD print browser with all the images, numbered for simplicity of ordering when making up the album. If you don’t like the computerised route, I can supply 6x4” proof prints for a small extra charge. These will be ready for you on return from honeymoon. The pictures will also be posted on the internet via an email link so that guests can view all the pictures and order prints directly from me.

What about Black & White pictures?

I shoot using the best Nikon digital cameras and this allows for Black & White images, sepia tones, cool blue tones etc. from the digital negatives. We can discuss this both before and after the wedding.

How do you make up the album?

You can have as much input in the production of the album as you like. You can choose the pictures that you want or many clients ask me to make my photographers choice. I then use my experience to layout the pictures so that they look their best and show you proofs that can be emailed to you for approval before final production. I take into account your preference for black and white or toned prints from discussions that we have had before the wedding. If you are selecting your own choice of prints then I ask that you make your decision within 4 weeks of the wedding. Albums will be ready 4 to 6 weeks later.

Can we buy the digital negatives?

Yes. I can supply a DVD of high resolution images that you can print at home for £500.

How do we make a booking?

Please contact me by phone, or email if you prefer, and we can set up a meeting where I can show you portfolios and examples of wedding albums. We can discuss your plans and you can see the way that I work. A £150.00 deposit will secure the booking and 50% of the balance of fees are due 4 months before the wedding date. A final invoice will be issued 1 month before the wedding date.
